How much of my wall do I need to cover with padding for my home studio for a good sound during practice and good quality un-echoey recording?
Depends on what you’re recording. If you’re recording acoustic guitar, you don’t want the whole room covered. For vocals, it’s great to have the whole thing covered (and add echo and reverb later with effects processors)
I would strongly recommend talking to some audio engineers about the topic and have them better guide you specifically on what you need. You can join a forum that houses quite a few of them like http://www.audioneeds.com – forums are great because they’re free and full of people who can give you the best advice
